In this reading group, we will delve into the couples and psychoanalytic literature, exploring narcissism, psychic separateness, and couples psychotherapy. We will read and think together about the narcissistic foundation of every couple, and explore the difficulties couples experience in acknowledging separateness and difference in themselves and their partner.

During these seminars, participants will:

  • Explore the link between narcissism and understanding couples
  • Identify psychic separateness and emerging narcissism in couples
  • Consider the existence of a narcissistic foundation in couples
