Abstract

These clinical seminars offer an opportunity for members to discuss clinical work with couples whom they have in treatment. This will be done by group members bringing some details of their clinical experience with a couple in treatment. This material will then be used as learning material to explore both the theory and technique of psychoanalytic couple psychotherapy. Material to be brought for discussion could either be that of a specific couple in treatment or a general theme, including some clinical vignettes, relevant for a number of couples.

The seminar is open to clinicians who are already working with couples and to those who are considering developing their clinical work to work with couples.

Though the focus of these seminars is on clinical discussion, as and when appropriate, reading material will be suggested to further the group’s learning.
